High performance digital video surveillance with WatchdogX

March 18, 2002, Webcam Corp. has released WatchdogX, the PC-based multi-camera input version of its previously successful single-camera input Watchdog, for digital video surveillance in homes and enterprises.

Built on quality and performance, WatchdogX utilizes it's proprietary video engine, Windows Media™ Technology and MPEG-4 to achieve up to 1800:1 compression ratio and yet still provide high-quality, real-time, 30 frame/second per channel video and audio recording. The software comes in 4, 8, 12 and 16-input versions. Webcam Corp. also bundles WatchdogX with the video capture cards that provide the best performance and reliability.

WatchdogX's high video compression not only saves hard disk space, but can also speed up the transmission of video for remote monitoring. You can save months worth of surveillance video clips on your standard hard disk or record super high quality videos clips at 640x480. WatchdogX supports the standard 320x240 and many other resolutions.

WatchdogX's built-in web server makes remote monitoring simple and quick. It's as easy as launching a web browser. With its streaming video capability, you can view recorded video clips remotely without downloading the entire video file. This is especially nice when your Internet link is a 56k modem. You can even remotely monitor using your Pocket PC.

WatchdogX is more flexible to use than most other similar software products. You can have different combinations of window resolutions and sizes with just a click of the mouse. The user-friendly interface lets you easily manage and control each camera monitor.

With its motion detection feature, you can have event-triggered recording for each camera. You can also instruct WatchdogX to sound an alarm or to notify you by email. These email messages contain captured images when motion is detected. For immediate notifications, you can set the email address to your mobile number.

Windows XP and Windows2000 and are recommended for WatchdogX. For more information, please contact Webcam Corp., 2 Primrose Lane. #3C, Fords, NJ 08863. E-mail: info@webcamsoft.com or visit our website: www.webcamsoft.com
